A graduate should be able to

  1. Apply safety standards, protocols, and environmental practices appropriate to automotive service and repair environments.
  2. Diagnose, test, and repair automotive braking, steering, and suspension systems to ensure safe vehicle operation.
  3. Diagnose, test, and repair engine and powertrain systems to restore proper vehicle performance.
  4. Diagnose, test, and repair automotive electrical and electronic systems, including computerized control systems.
  5. Diagnose, test, and service high-voltage battery and hybrid/electric vehicle systems following industry safety requirements.
  6. Diagnose, calibrate, and verify advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) using manufacturer-approved procedures.
  7. Select and apply appropriate automotive tools, test equipment, and technologies for inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  8. Apply professional communication, and teamwork within an automotive workplace.
  9. Understand and apply ethical reasoning in the context of the automotive industry.
