This certificate is designed for students who wish to become certified bookkeepers and find direct employment in private and public business. The courses required in this certificate will prepare students to complete the certified bookkeeper exam administered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB).

A graduate should be able to

  1. Successfully pass the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) Designation exams/subjects established by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) that are taken within the ACCT 190 Certified Bookkeeper Review Course.
  2. Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning to business decisions.
  3. Evaluate accounting transactions, and apply accounting concepts and principles to determine the appropriate valuation for recording and reporting purposes.
