This curriculum is designed as a guide to students planning to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree in theatre. Students are advised to check the requirements of the institution to which they intend to transfer. The main emphasis in the theatre area of concentration is the creation of an artistic point of view on the part of the student.

A graduate should be able to
- Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning as it applies to the field of theatre.
- Identify, generate, and analyze ideas in multiple contexts within the discipline of theatre.
- Demonstrate competency in acting using text analysis, movement, and voice and diction skills and theories.
- Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to diversity in the cultures, races, religions, politics, and socio-economic environments of the world we live in by contextualizing the human experience through the lens of theatre.
