ARTT-292 Ancient Egyptian Art and Architecture

This course surveys the art and architecture of ancient Egypt from prehistory through the Roman era. The course will focus on broader connections between art and architecture in ancient Egypt. Students will examine the impact of social and cultural changes on developments in the visual arts. the study and analysis of primary source texts will give students insight into how ancient Egyptian art and architecture developed and its influence on the formation of other art form throughout the region.
