ARTT-203 Drawing II: Observation/Composition

This course will review expand upon the concepts, skills, and subject matter covered in Drawing I. The emphasis is on perception and the traditional conventions of representational drawing, including perspective, proportion, and composition. Students will work in line to emphasize accurate shapes and values to develop form and the effect of light. The use of space and the difference between depiction and suggestion will be emphasized. Students will learn to develop drawings based on expression and conceptual intents. Previous drawing experience is absolutely necessary. Subjects may include still life, interiors, landscape, portraits, and figures.
