MUSP 120 Applied Music II - Music Majors
Previously MUSC 120. Second semester of private college-level music study. Required for music majors.
Prerequisite
MUSP 119 with a C or better and permission of the music department chair

Course Objectives
- Perform intermediate repertoire for the respective instrument or voice as outlined in the Music Student
Handbook found at:

- Perform a mandatory jury examination for the instructor and a panel of music instructors in which the
following is demonstrated at the appropriate college level:
a. excellent tone
b. phrasing
c. rhythm
d. stylistic understanding
e. intonation
f. musical sensitivity - Demonstrate an intermediate level of technical proficiency in the performance of scales, etudes or other
exercises as outlined in the Music Student Handbook.
