MUSP 118 Applied Music II - Music Majors
Previously MUSC 118. Second semester of private college-level music study. Required for music majors.

MUSP 117 with a C or better

Course Objectives
- Perform intermediate repertoire for the respective instrument or voice as outlined in the Music Student Handbook.
- Perform a mandatory jury examination for the instructor and a panel of music instructors in which the following is demonstrated at the appropriate college level: excellent tone, phrasing, rhythm, stylistic understanding, intonation, and musical sensitivity.
- Demonstrate an intermediate level of technical proficiency in the performance of scales, etudes, or other exercises as outlined in the Music Student Handbook.
- Recognize the ethical concerns relating to a specific issue or issues in the music world.
- Identify one’s core belief(s) in relation to an ethical issue or issues in the music world.
- Apply alternative ethical perspectives to one’s own, in relation to an ethical issue or issues in the music world.
