Its basic purposes are to integrate classroom theory and work applications and to assist students in making the transition from school to work. New or current positions may qualify for co-op credits. Students will develop and track learning objectives with a faculty co-op advisor and submit regular reports and reflections about their work site. Students must receive prior approval to register for this work experience course. Contact the Center for Civic and Community Engagement at ccce@howardcc.edu to gain approval to register in the appropriate section. Students must secure a work experience placement before requesting approval to register, and will be asked to provide contact information for their on-site supervisor before approval will be granted.
