Flexible Online
Course Activity
Flexible Online courses are completed online in Canvas, without specific meeting times. There are no on-campus activities.
Schedule
Flexible Online courses have a calendar with due dates set by the professor. These courses do not have meeting times (they are not not self-paced), which provides flexibility during the week.
Students
Students interact with the instructor, their classmates (or other students), and the course content online. Students may be required to participate in group work. That work may need to be scheduled at a time not published in the course schedule.
Faculty
Faculty provide course content and regular interaction throughout the course in Canvas.
How does it look in student planning?
When you see a section in student planning, you will see the following items:
- The Time field shows the semester start and end dates.
- The Locations field shows the word Online.
- The Instructors field shows the instructor's name and (online).
