Previously MUSC 194. Class Piano II will be a continuation of Class Piano I.

Course Objectives
- Recognize and play any treble or bass clef note.
- Correctly perform rhythm patterns which include note values as low as a 16th note.
- Perform simple piano repertoire.
- Build all 12 major pentachords.
- Recognize any key signature.
- Improvise a melody over a simple chord progression.
- Harmonize a melody using chord symbols.
- Sight read a simple two-part excerpt.
- Explain the difference between 6/8 and 4/4 time.
- Demonstrate correct piano technique with regard to hand position, fingering, and posture.
