DMSU 200 General Registry Review

This course provides a review of the general concentration didactic and clinical knowledge obtained in the program. Case studies will be reviewed to test the student’s diagnostic skill in identifying a wide range of abnormalities. Students will be exposed to test taking skills with multiple mock registry exams to prepare for the Abdomen and OB/GYN boards through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Course Objectives

  1. Employ various test taking skills in preparation for obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, pediatrics, and abdomen registry exams.
  2. Research various case studies to identify a wide range of abnormalities pertaining to obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, pediatrics, and abdomen concentrations.
  3. Apply knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, pediatrics, and abdomen concentrations in various group activities.
  4. Identify inter-professional teamwork in the medical field with simulations and guest lectures.
