Online Hybrid
Course Activity
Online Hybrid courses are completed online in Canvas. Half (50%) of the course is Flexible Online and 50% of the course is Scheduled Remote.
Schedule
Online Hybrid courses are provided in both formats:
- Flexible Online Portion | Faculty provide course content and facilitate activities and discussions in Canvas.
- Scheduled Remote Portion | Students log in to an online classroom to attend class remotely at scheduled meeting times, listed in the class schedule.
Students
Students are required to interact with the instructor, their classmates (or other students), and the course content online and in real time during Scheduled Remote sessions. You may be required to participate in group work with your classmates (or other students). That work may need to be scheduled at a time not published in the course schedule.
Faculty
Faculty provide live virtual lectures during scheduled class periods, and also facilitate activities and discussions in both real time and in Canvas.
How does it look in student planning?
When you see a section in student planning, you will see the following items:
- The Time field shows the times the day of the week and time the sessions meet.
- The Locations field shows the words Scheduled Zoom, Online CANVAS, Online Hybrid.
- The Instructors field shows the instructor's name and (Online Hybrid).
