APPLICATION CODE 351

For curriculum information, contact the Business and Computer Systems Division—Room DH-239—443-518-1520.

This certificate provides an overview of the cloud computing paradigm. Topics include cloud fundamentals, cloud operations, cloud development, cloud architecture, and cloud security. Students will be trained in the leading commercial cloud service provider’s environment using training materials provided by the service provider with supplemental materials based on established industry cloud computing certifications. Technical content is based on material provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) through the AWS Academy. HCC is an AWS Academy provider, which gives students access to the AWS environment for the purpose of completing hands-on exercises. The AWS Academy courses prepare students for the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, and three AWS Associate certifications: Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, and Developer. AWS is one of the market-leading Cloud Service Providers world-wide. The coursework also prepares students for vendor-neutral certifications: CompTIA Cloud Essentials+ and (ISC)^2 Certified Cloud Security Professional.
