DANC 206 Practicum in Choreography, Performance, or Production

Self-directed study of a creative project designed to focus on a specialized area of dance for presentation in a Dance Department production. Dance majors may opt to participate in production in either stage managing, costume, set, or lighting design capacities. Permission of Dance Coordinator is required.

Course Objectives

  1. Create a dance project focusing on a specialized area under the guidance of the Dance Department
    faculty.
  2. Articulate artistic vision behind creative project.
  3. Demonstrate through attendance and participation in rehearsals and dance production dance technique.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of one or more of the following production aspects of a dance performance
    (stage management, costume, lighting or set design).
