SABR 200 Study Abroad
This course is offered in conjunction with HCC Study Abroad programs and provides a framework for academic study in international contexts. Through pre-departure orientation activities, in-country immersion experiences, and individual and group reflection, students will master concepts and strategies for international and intercultural work, study, and interaction.
Course Objectives
- Explain how cultural factors shape values and beliefs in the host country, and compare and contrast these factors with those in one's home culture.
- Interact effectively and respectfully across social and cultural boundaries.
- Apply the academic and intercultural learning undertaken during the Study Abroad program to one's own program of academic study and/or chosen career field.
