TVRD 290 Television and Radio Internship I

This internship combines classroom theory and work applications with on-the-job training. Students will learn how to make the transition from school to work. The internship is a practicum with measurable learning objectives designed to broaden the educational experience. Students must receive prior approval to register for this work experience course. Course Objectives

  1. 1. Market skills/network with potential employers or within your company.
  2. 2. Perform as an effective team member.
  3. 3. Demonstrate the ability to communicate with the team, peers and administrators.
  4. 4. Research, document and present data from peer interactions.
  5. 5. Work with on-site supervisors to develop measurable objectives that describe what will be done at the
    work site, how the task will be accomplished, proof that the objective is met and when the objective is
    targeted for completion.
  6. 6. Describe the organizational structure and the duties of the employees at the assigned work site.
