This sequence of courses is designed to provide concentrated study and hands-on experience in early childhood development, curriculum, and classroom management. Successful completion of this certificate will indicate that the student has met the educational requirements, under current State of Maryland regulations, for employment as a Director of a Child Care Center licensed for up to twenty children, provided the individual has at least one year of experience in a licensed early childhood program and is at least 21 years of age; a Child Care Teacher in a Child Care Center, provided the individual is at least 19 years of age; or as an Aide in a Child Care Center.
