HIST-229 African American Women's History

This course provides an overview of African American women's history from the seventeenth to the twenty-first century. This course allows students an opportunity for scholarly analysis of contributions made by African American women. The experiences of African American women will be examined through the analytic lenses of race, class, and gender. Topics include political, economic, and social experiences of African American women. Prerequisite: ENGL-121.
