ARTT-903 Chinese Brush Painting
In this course, students will understand the basic principles and techniques of Chinese art while exploring new media. The subjects for this course are animal, landscape, and figure. The techniques include how to use bamboo brushes; how to use ink in five gradations; how to use Chinese liquid transparent color and mineral opaque colors; and how to work on absorbent rice paper. Overall, students will express themselves in a Chinese style form of art and experience a new art perspective.
