PTAP 270 Clinical Education II

This course consists of a clinical rotation at one clinical site. Students will apply skills and knowledge from all previous coursework and clinical experiences to patient care.

Course Objectives

  1. Demonstrate appropriate and effective verbal, nonverbal, and written communication relevant to the clinical setting.
  2. Demonstrate time-management and resource utilization with an increasing caseload of patients under the supervision of the clinical instructor.
  3. Provide physical therapy interventions to a variety of patients in a safe and effective manner.
  4. Develop and present an in-service to the clinical staff.
  5. Recognize when a change in the plan of care may be indicated and communicate the reasons accurately to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  6. Complete an effective self-assessment of technical and interpersonal skills.
