Course Objectives
- Demonstrate proper posture, breath control, and support.
- Demonstrate correct use of the mouth, tongue, and jaw.
- Discuss the role of vocal registers and tonal resonance in vocal performance.
- Describe how to care for the throat to preserve vocal life.
- Give a vocal performance to the class which shows the following: poise, self-confidence, thoughtful interpretation of the text, and application of correct vocal technique.
- Sing vocal exercises in such a way that the head voice is developed and the vocal registers are put into proper balance.
