AVMP 120 Concept and Story Development

Previously TVRD-125. This course is an introduction to concept development and storytelling methods through a series of short writing assignments of various forms. Students will generate ideas and stories for creative projects in print and electronic media such as television, radio, and film. This course is writing intensive.

  1. Apply the fundamentals of storytelling and conceptual development.
  2. Develop one’s own individual voice as a storyteller.
  3. Create story ideas for creative projects in print and electronic media such as television, radio, and film.
  4. Utilize various methods and forms of personal storytelling.
  5. Evaluate the work of one's peers, and provide constructive feedback on their ideas and writings.
