COMM 101 Introduction to Human Communication

Previously SPCH-101. This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of human communication, focusing on interpersonal, public, and group communication. Students will gain skill in using the basic elements of human communication in personal, professional, and computer-mediated contexts.

  3. Identify and demonstrate appropriate skills in interpersonal, group, and public communication situations.
  4. Understand and apply appropriate ethical standards to interpersonal, group, and public communication situations.
  5. Recognize and apply effective group dynamics.
