CMSY 266 Cybersecurity Analysis and IDPS

In this course, students will gain vast knowledge of cybersecurity security operations and mitigation. The course will expand on Security+ with hands-on exercises to cover intelligence and system threat detection techniques, analyze and interpret data, identify and address system vulnerabilities, suggest preventative measures, and effectively respond to and recover from incidents. Students will use lab simulations to learn multiple open-source tools on performing network enumeration, reporting intrusions, troubleshooting systems and networks, features that are critical for day-to-day use for cyber security analysis. The course objectives support the CompTIA CySA+ industry certification.
