CMSY 183 Virtual Workplace Communications

Emerging technologies have made it easier than ever to create and manage virtual teams to increase collaboration across all personal and business platforms. This course will assist students in using specific virtual technologies to communicate via both written and verbal means, collaborate both synchronously and asynchronously, and conduct secure, productive meetings with various geographically dispersed teams.

  1. Distinguish, through hands-on practice, differences and similarities among the current virtual workplace technologies regarding ease of use and functional abilities.
  2. Analyze possible security issues and protocols regarding the use of virtual workplace technologies, including proper "netiquette" behavior while participating in a virtual scenario.
