RADT 293 CT Clinical Practicum I
In this course, students will develop the skills necessary to perform routine computed tomography (CT) procedures. This course is designed to allow students to sequentially develop, apply, analyze, and evaluate concepts and theories in performing of CT procedures. Students observe and assist venipuncture and CT procedures under direct supervision of a registered technologist. When a satisfactory degree of proficiency is apparent, the student can perform the activity under indirect supervision to gain experience in CT imaging. All candidates for the certification in Computed Tomography are required to perform and document a minimum number of procedures with competency to establish eligibility for the ARRT certification examination. CT Clinical Practicum I will enable students to rotate to clinical sites and document a portion of the required procedures. For specific information about the minimum required procedures, refer to the ARRT website.
