RADT 116 Radiographic Procedures/Positioning I and Medical Terminology
This course continues the study of anatomy, radiographic procedures, image analysis, and radiographic pathology in greater depth. Radiographic examinations of the abdomen, lower extremities and pelvic girdle, humerus, shoulder girdle, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, and bony thorax will be discussed in a classroom and practiced in a skills lab setting. In addition, trauma and mobile radiography concepts will be introduced. Students will have supervised use of energized equipment in the skills laboratory. Students will practice patient positioning, radiographic image production, image processing, image analysis, image archiving, and image retrieving. Students will complete a minimum of 23 skills lab simulation competencies under direct supervision of a registered technologist. Medical terminology will be included in this course.

2 hours theory, 4 hours lab weekly
