RADT 291 Principles of Computed Tomography and Instrumentation

In this course students will develop basic knowledge of the principles of computed tomography (CT), CT scanner instrumentation, and image formation and reconstruction. Specific topics included are: introduction to CT, basic CT instrumentation, data acquisition, image post processing, single and multislice spiral CT, three-dimensional CT, radiation dose in CT, and image quality.
