CNST 101 Building Construction Materials and Methods

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of building construction materials and methods. Students will gain knowledge of the terminology used in the construction industry to describe the materials and methods used to assemble components and systems during building construction projects. Topics include foundations: wood, steel, and concrete framing; brick, stone, and concrete masonry; roofing; glass and glazing; windows and doors; exterior wall systems; and interior finishes.
