ACCT-900 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) And Community Outreach
This course trains students to prepare basic level federal and state income tax returns for eligible taxpayers. Successful students will obtain IRS certification and will prepare tax returns for the community as volunteers at HCC's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. Students will receive classroom training for IRS certification and participate in electronically preparing tax returns during the spring tax filing season.
